FAL Mags
 

I got the FAL mags I orders from dsarms. Excellent Condition with Light Handling Marks, Finish Wear. This will work for me, but are all FAL magazines in used condition, or does some place sell them new?

At the last gunshow I saw a box of em for $8 each. I shoulda bot them but didn't - maybe this weekend. There were a lot of em to be had for 10-12 each this past year but not in the wrap like these so it is a pretty good deal.

I went to DS Arms to get a few more metric FAL mags. Wasn't the singles price before $12.95? Now it is $15. Worse, it appears they did away with the "quantity discount." If you bought five or more, they used to be $10. Five mags would have been $50. Now the same five would be $75. That's a 50% increase!

I looked at the J&G ad. I can't believe how rough that picture is when you enlarge it! Hard to force myself to buy mags that look like they should be in the junk pile!

For these prices, I'm going to stand pat for now. Even during the AWB, FAL mags never got really expensive. They were one of the few that stayed reasonable. Just too many of them out there. This panic buying has driving up prices beyond supply and demand levels. I'll wait for them to return to reality or keep an eye out for them at the Tulsa gun show.
